The sounds are sometimes mechanical and sometimes organic, scraping metal and flowing blood cells.

All the tracks have a dystopian, alternative feel whilst offering clear beats, and rhythms. The listeners was inspired by Walter de la Mare's classic poem, The Listeners. It incorporates a regular rhythm with sounds associated with knocking, walking on gravel, dripping, scratching, whispering voices, things being dropped, falling, echoes, laughter and a fade out at the end suggesting that the listeners are being abandoned, or consigned to the distance.
